§ 12-61. 9-1-1 Address Map.

  • The 9-1-1 Address Map when adopted and approved by the County Judge, shall be a part of this division. The 9-1-1 Address Map shall identify all street and road centerlines, address points and political boundaries. Paper maps shall have as reference, numbering centerlines and block numbering grids which specify address number changes. A typical section of land shall be divided into eight (8) blocks, or grids, north/south and east/west. Each grid interval shall be six hundred sixty (660) feet except in nonstandard areas identified on the map.

    The 9-1-1 Address Map shall be automatically updated upon any development activity requiring the need for a road name, road number or address assignment. These changes will be made by the designee of the County Judge. A record file of all changes to the 9-1-1 Address Map shall be maintained by the County Judge or his designee. Said map is for 9-1-1 purposes only and shall not be considered the official road map of the County.
