§ 12-62. County centerlines; additional regulations.

The center point for addressing the County will be the northwest corner of Section 18 Township 15N Range 30W. The extension of this point east and west to the County borders will be the centerline for north and south address numbers. The extension of this same point north and south to the County borders will be the centerline for east and west address numbers. The County address numbers will start from 10,000 to preclude duplicating city numbers of like or similar named streets or roads.

Address numbers shall be even on the north and east sides of the road and odd on the west and south sides of the road. One hundred (100) numbers shall be assigned to each identified grid block with the lowest number beginning at the point nearest the grid block centerline. Address numbers shall be determined by the number grid in which the property is located.

The County Judge or his designee has the power and authority to promulgate reasonable rules and regulations to effectuate the E-911 emergency telephone system and this division, and said rules and regulations shall be subject to approval by the Quorum Court and may be approved or disapproved by simple voice vote.
