§ 2-223. Participation in State contracts.

  • (a)

    The County Judge hereby requests authority in the name of the County to participate in State contracts which the Department of Finance and Administration, Office of Purchasing, has entered into for the purchase of supplies, services, equipment and certain materials pursuant to the State Purchasing Law and Amendment 54 to the Arkansas Constitution.

    (b)

    The County Judge is hereby authorized to agree in the name of the County to be bound by all contract terms and conditions as the Department of Finance and Administration, Office of State Purchasing, prescribes. Such terms and conditions may include a reasonable fee to cover the administrative costs which the Department of Finance and Administration incurs as a result of the County's participation in a contract. Further, the County Judge does hereby agree to be bound by such terms and conditions.

    (c)

    The County Judge is hereby authorized to agree in the name of the County to directly pay the vendor under such State contract in which it participates for terms it receives pursuant to the contract, and the County does hereby agree to directly pay the vendor.
