§ 2-64. Choice of physician for Worker's Compensation purposes.

(a)

Any elected official or employee of Washington County who has or purports to have an injury covered under Worker's Compensation shall first seek treatment and/or evaluation by the physician of choice as designated by the County Judge. However, upon agreement by the employee and his or her supervisor, the employee may first be seen by one (1) of the registered nurses employed by the County at the Sheriff's Office.

(b)

Any elected official or employee of Washington County may seek a change in physician after having been treated or evaluated by the physician of choice of the County.

(c)

Necessary forms for seeking a change of physician shall be provided by the Human Resources Office.

(d)

This section shall also appear as part of the Washington County Employees Handbook.
